It was a gala time here at RIT today evening. We have this Spring Festival going on. It has all sorts of different activities and the good thing is that most of them are free. Today we had this thing called Pizza War. No No... it is not one of those food fight kind of thing where people are supposed to throw food, in this case pizzas at each other. It was a so called brand war. We had pizzas from different vendors out here in Rochester. Yes it was free. We were supposed to eat all the brands and then vote for the ones that we liked the best. This was just the beginning.
Next thing going on is Carnival. Ohh man. It was so terrific fun. We had all these rides (ofcourse free). It was after such a long time that I got a chance to sit in all these rides. Although they were not that humungous type of rides but whatever it was it was good enough and above all it was great fun.
This Spring Festival is going to continue over the weekend and we have too many interesting things lined up for tommorrow. So got to get ready for some more fun tommorrow provided I find some company to go along. Otherwise its no fun going alone.
Anybody want to join ?
Have a great Spring.

THANK YOU, Mr. Wright......
Year 2000 - The Entire Cricket World is in turmoil, shocked, flabbergasted, shocked.
Indian Cricket is in tatters. Match fixing allegations, players suspended, a completely morally shaken Indian cricket team existed that nobody had any trust on.
Enters Mr Wright. John Wright of New Zealand. And what a transformation. From then there had been no looking back. Suddenly the entire image of Indian cricket team changed. People started respecting them and the team with the backing of this great coach and ofcourse the fellow country men and women, started performing. There have been significant achievements during John Wright's tenure.
The fabulous come from behind test series victory over Australia @ Home, a test match victory in England, the Natwest One day series victory in England, the one day and test series victories over Pakistan in Pakistan, a test victory and a drawn test series against Australia in Australia and ofcourse India making it to the finals of the WORLD CUP in South Africa are some of the achievements of Indian team under his reign.
The players saw a philosopher, a guide, a mentor in Wright and what was achieved was sheer magic. The coach-captain combination went off well without friction and this resulted in positive effect and attitude among the team members as well. Credit has to be given to Ganguly-Wright team for whatever heights Indian cricket, off late has seen. The famous World Cup huddle just showed the unity..India had become a force to reckon with in world cricket.
The current India-Pakistan one day series was his last series as India's coach and a victory here would have been an ideal farewell to him, but that was not meant to be. Indian cricket is again at crossroads yet again..what remains to be seen whether newer heights are reached or not....
But Thank you, Mr.Wright for turning a bunch of boys in blue into men in blue and showing what team spirit is....the Indian team still crumbles under pressure but at least there is no fear and insecurity now.....
THANK YOU and GOOD LUCK.

My INDIA.....
Check this out friends. Click here. It was sent to me by one of my friend.
I liked this slide show very much. Although some people might think of this as some sentimental crap or emotional stuff or anyother thing, I will say it makes me feel proud of my country, of my roots, of the place I am from. There are many things that I personally feel could have been added to this. One of my friend even put down a list of things that could/should have been included in it. I am putting down this list of things suggested by my friend that could have been included in this.
Here is the list so far:
A) Sania Mirza
B) Leander Paes
C) Mahatma Gandhi
D) IIT's
E) Shahrukh Khan
F) Railway Station
G) A College Couple
H) Ambani or Tata
I) Peacock
J) Vishwanathan Anand
K) A call center
L) Dandiya
Feel free to enter what you think could have been added or anything that you think could have been removed from this.
Even though I won't change anything but It might just be a good way to have some fun and recall some of great people and places of Our Own INDIA.
So keep listing...........
