Now.. This is FUNNY.....

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.

The wife said, “You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don’t have to wait as long to get our coffee.”

The husband said, ” You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.”

Wife replies, “No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee.” Man replies, “I can’t believe that, show me.”

So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says ……….”HEBREWS”

THE ENGINEERING PREAMBLE

We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much for so long, with so little knowledge that we will one day qualify to do anything with knowing nothing.
Be proud of being an ENGINEER.

India Shining..Rising...

In a stunning coup, Hyderabad beat IT heavyweight Bangalore to bag the Fab City project, which will host India’s first major silicon chip manufacturing facility.
The project will see a veritable watershed of foreign investment in Shamshabad, with $3 billion to be brought in by the anchor company SemIndia in collaboration with the international chip major AMD, and more by other chip manufacturers. Just SemIndia is likely to create 5,000 jobs directly and thousands more indirectly through the influx of about 200 suppliers and ancillaries.
“We have decided to position Fab City in Hyderabad.” That announcement by SemIndia president and CEO Vinod K Agarwal rippled through a press conference like a streak of lightning at chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s camp office on Thursday. Hours earlier, Union IT and communications minister Dayanidhi Maran had declared that Hyderabad—a brash pretender to Bangalore’s primacy as a destination for IT investmenthad won the race for the prestigious project. In a delicious irony, Maran’s announcement was made in Bangalore.

Reservations at IITs and IIMs.. Why ?

The Government of India's new policy, if implemented, will take the reservations in government-funded higher education institutions (IITs, IIMs and many others) to 49.5% from the current 22.5% for SC and ST students.

It is sad that politicians for want of votes comeup with these kind of stupid ideas. India is infested with politicians whose aim is vote bank. Politicians do this for their vote bank. We have it in Medical also but not a single politician gets himself treated by these kind of Doctors. Why do they go to US for operations if they are so confident of their own doctors ?

Its high time our politicians change their attitude becuase nowhere in the world a student with 40% is preferred over a student with 80% marks only on the basis of caste. If we continue with this systmes we will be digging our graves & I see no reason why politicians can't increase the reservation percentage.

I feel we should stop calling ourselfs as a country which has equality as its motto. It is easy for politicians to make the quota system as their own children study abroad with our money. We pose them a challenge, let their kids pass out some entrance exam with good percentage and be denied. No wonder with quotas like this there is brain drain. Actually insteaad of helping them, we are actually ruining their life and Indias future. Instead provide them with special classes or books or libraries where they can study and come up on their own. By spoon feeding them we are increasing the line between the two classes.

One should give proper basic education facilities to all the people but when it comes to Higher education like Medicine , Engg, Management etc it should be only on pure merit otherwise those who pass from our colleges will looked down upon.

If the power greedy politicians will continue to implement policies like this, India would certainly loose all of its bright students ( future leaders for country) to welcoming hands of western countries. The rate of immigration is already very high. These policies would act like a stimulus for those more patriotic ones(who are staying here), to leave this country & find there path in places where merit is the consideration.

After all,Who wants to live in a place where success is not based on merit and qualification but on nepotism, politics, and unfair advantage?

As far as ethical & moral issues of this reservation policy is concerned, everyone of us knows....................

Possible Effects:

Students, across universities and schools claimed that they felt unwanted in their own country and said they had little option now but to try and immigrate both for their education and employment.

These type of stupid policies by these vote hungry corrupt politicians could see a dramatic rise in the number of students travelling to the US, UK and Australia.

Off to California........

Finally the time has come...

I am moving to California tommorrow. Will be starting my job from Monday.

Right now I am very sad and getting emotional. Its due to the fact I will be leaving somebody who is so near and dear to me. Together we share a special bond. Why is it that we have to leave friends and people we love and care about. Why can't we take them along whereever we go ?

Well but I guess that is life.

So wish me luck people.
